Winless Celtic lose again in Division Two

WINLESS Dewsbury Celtic lost 28-4 away at Leigh East in what is shaping up to be a tough season for the Westtown club in National Conference League Division Two.

It took just a minute for East to break down the Celtic defence as Josh Adudwumma crossed for the game’s opening try. It was then the turn of Ihaka Watene to torment Celtic as he scored two tries in six minutes.

A Sam Tattersfield try gave Celtic hope but they were no match for East. Tries in the final quarter from Tom Fletcher and Curtis Littlewood plus two Holland conversions saw the points stay at home.

The defeat leaves Celtic stranded in 11th, still in search of their first points of the season in NCL Division Two.

Their next game is against Wigan St Judes at Crow Nest Park tomorrow (Saturday, 2.30pm).
