Striker Lee Novak insists the Terriers will not take their foot off the gas as they aim to secure fourth spot in npower League One.
Huddersfield Town sit fifth having ended a threegame losing streak thanks to Novak’s 89thminute winner against Scunthorpe at the weekend
The Galpharm Stadium outfit travel to Walsall tomorrow (Sat) before playing host to Yeovil on the final day of the regular season.
And in order to leapfrog their playoff rivals, backtoback victories are a must.
“We want to head into the playoffs with a heap of momentum and by securing fourth spot we can do that,” said 23yearold Novak.
“There’s two games left to play and we, without question, want two wins.
“MK Dons will be very difficult to beat but we’ve already played two good games against them so we’re confident we can pull off a repeat.
“In some respects, the pressure is off but in another it’s very much on – we will not be taking our foot off the gas whatsoever.
“We’re still very confident and we always have been from day one.
“Our objective now is straightforward in that we need two wins to secure fourth and come at MK Dons flying.”
Novak’s goalscoring return is likely to see him feature against in tomorrow’s tie and he admits, he was delighted to be back.
“It’s great to be back playing the side and, obviously, it’s good to be back on the scoresheet,” he said.
“Both Lee Clark and Simon (Grayson) have been brilliant with me here and the current manager has told us to just go out there and play open football with confidence.”
