Sharks into semifinal

Shaw Cross Sharks booked their place in the last four of the Jim Brown Heavy Woollen Cup as they ground out a 52 victory.
52 is an unfamiliar scoreline in modernday rugby league but for the purist, this game had everything.
Moor rested a number of key players and handed debuts to the majority of their secondteam players.
The opening quarter produced little more than a comedy of errors as both sides battled against the elements.
After going close on a number of occasions, it was Moor who got the game’s first points via the boot of Andrew Robinson, who kicked a penalty goal.
However, a breakaway, on the stroke of halftime, saw Ben Diskin put winger Oliver Broadbent into space. He raced clear and dived over in the corner.
The Sharks piled on the pressure after the break and it wasn’t long before Andrew Tillotson slotted over the drop goal, which sealed the win 52.
