OSSETT TOWN have unveiled five new signings ahead of a testing pre-season campaign.
Manager Craig Elliott has captured the services of former Sheffield Wednesday defender Nick Wood as Town’s marquee summer signing.
Ex-Barnsley man Scott McGory, Richard Patterson, Andrew Fox and Will McGhie have also arrived to boost the Ingfield outfit.
Pre-season training is now underway and Elliott is delighted to have the quintet on board.
“Nick comes highly recommended, his pedigree is there to see and he will be a great addition for us,” Elliott said of new-boy Nick Wood, who made 11 career appearances for Tranmere Rovers.
“Scott (McGory) will fit perfectly into how I was us to play next season and I am pleased he has joined us.
“Both Richard (Patterson) and Andrew (Fox) play football in the correct manner and has a great appetite to win.
“They have played in a very successful Staveley team and I have no doubt they can make the transition and bring that winning mentality with them.
Will (McGhie) is fit, ambitious and arrives at a good age.
“He has an eye for a spectacular goal and can also play two or three different roles, which is vital.”
Elliott hass added academy players Joe Hitch and Rick Mack to his roster.
Keiran Hannity is to return to the club for a short period while studying in America and Elliott is in advanced talks with “one or two” further signings, which are likely to be confirmed next week.
The club are now offering membership packages, priced at £12.50 per month, which enable supporters to see every game. Interested parties are advised to contact the club for further information.
