Ossett Albion forced a replay in the preliminary round of the FA Trophy despite a poor performance away at Witton Albion which saw the sides play out an entertaining 2-2 draw.
Witton got off to a flying start when they scored from the spot after four minutes thanks to a mistimed tackle from Albion's Declan Dawson.
And inside 10 minutes the hosts had doubled their lead after a mistake from Dominic Riordan allowed Christopher Baker to score.
And Witton missed a chance to go three up on 15 minutes and take the game beyond Ossett, but the hosts squandered the golden opportunity and the shot went wide.
Towards the end of the first half Ossett upped their game and halfed the defecit thanks to a Rob Bordman goal on 39 minutes.
And the second period as a fanatastic contest with both sides playing enthralling football.
But it was the visitors who got the goal through Connor Brunt, who beat the Witton Keeper at the near post to level the scores.
Both sides had further chances to win the game, but the deadlock couldn't be broken so the teams meet again tonight (Tuesday) for the replay.
