New faces sign for Bulldogs

ANOTHER two new faces have joined the Batley Bulldogs squad for 2011.
Keighley Cougars wing or centre Daley Williams will link up with head coach Karl Harrison after playing under him at Salford City Reds and strongrunning second row or centre Alex Bretherton makes the move from Dewsbury Rams.
Rhylborn Williams was a fans’ favourite at Cougar Park before being made available by Keighley coach Barry Eaton in July.
The 24yearold is renowned for his pace and ballstealing and could add an extra dimension to the Bulldogs attack next season.
Bretherton had been a stalwart of the Rams squad since joining the club from amateurs Thornhill Trojans six years ago.
However he only played 10 games last season after having shoulder surgery.
The Bulldogs’ general manager Paul Harrison said: “We are delighted to get the signature of Alex to continue our squad building for 2011.
“The club is working hard to sign the sort of guys who can take us forward next year and Alex fits that criteria.”
However the Bulldogs still face uncertainty with the news that loose forward Ash Lindsay is seriously considering leaving the club to concentrate on playing amateur rugby with Ossett Trinity, while Tommy Gallagher, Gareth Moore and Jason Walton are also undecided about their future at the Mount.
