DEWSBURY MOOR Maroons continue their ascent up National Conference League Division Three thanks to a 29-8 win away at Gateshead Storm.
Chris Parker took the man of the match award as the Maroons made it back-to-back wins this time in the North East at Gateshead.
It took the home side 70 minutes to break down the visiting defence via a try from Dan Turland plus a conversion by Martin Scott.
By that time the Storm were 25-0 in arrears, with George Croisdale opening the Moor account on 12 minutes. Brad Foster added the conversion as he did to a Cameron Bruce try on 25 minutes, plus there was an Ady Moore drop goal eight minutes before the break.
In the 50th minute Moor were in again through Tobias Richardson while Foster landed the resultant conversion.
He then scored a converted try before Jack Riding finished things off a minute from time for a comfortable win.
The victory maintains Moor’s fifth-placed position ahead of their home fixture against Woolston Rovers (Sat July 2, 2.30pm).
