A LOCAL teenager currently playing for Dewsbury Moor U14s is heading to Australia to put his rugby league abilities to the test.
Bradley Martin will be travelling to the Southern Hemisphere with his school team, Outwood Grange Academy, where he will play in the U15s.
Bradley will fly out to the Gold Coast and will be visiting the Mackay State Rugby League Academy.
He will then train and play in a number of games in Townsville, before moving onto Brisbane and playing at the West and Gold Coast Tigers.
His final stop will be in Sydney, where he will be a guest at the South Rabbitohs for their game with the Newcastle Knights.
Here he hopes to meet former Dewsbury Moor juniors Tom and George Burgess, who play at the NRL champions, and Bradley is looking forward to visiting Australia.
“I feel honoured to be travelling to the top rugby nation in the world and feel this can only widen my outlook within the game I love,” he said. “It’s an opportunity of a lifetime at such a young age and I wish to thank everybody concerned in getting me there.”
The youngster will make a decison on his future when he returns from his trip down under as Bradley is attracting the interest of clubs in England, with six Super League sides showing interest in the forward.
