DEWSBURY MOOR lost 38-10 at home to Crosfields and in doing so finished their season in a disappointing eighth position, with only Garforth Tigers faring worse in this year’s National Conference League Division Three.
In contrast Crosfields clinched the Division Three title in style with a seven-try victory and will look forward to playing in Division Two next season.
Jack Reid led the way for Crosfields as they cruised to a 22-4 advantage at the break.
The only Moor try came midway through the half from Brad Samme.
Chris Hall set the champions on their way with a second-minute try before Steve Pickersgill added another four minutes later.
Nathan Taylor and Kieron Thomas went in for further Crosfields tries before man of the match Reid added one more goal.
Moor responded early in the second half with a Cameron Bruce try and Brad Foster conversion but it wouldn’t be good enough.
Taylor added his second, as did Pickersgill, with another from Ash Cornelia two minutes from time.
