LIVERSEDGE chairman Allan Trevitt believes the club should show a welcome profit on this year’s trading – but admits he has no intentions of using the surplus cash to sign an overseas player.
“We’d be better off keeping the price of beer down,” he quipped.
“We would be struggling to find digs for anyone coming over next year, as our usual host is unavailable.
“And I am not sure we could justify the expense of bringing one over.”
Trevitt doesn’t have any confirmed signings yet for next season but insists there are some in the pipeline.
And he is adamant his Division One side will improve on this term’s fifth-placed finish, claiming a promotion push is on the cards in 2014.
