Liversedge quest for Premier survival dealt a severe blow

LIVERSEDGE FC lost their last outing in the Northern Counties East League Premier clash 3-0 at high-flyers Cleethorpes.

Alex Flett put the home side ahead on 28 minutes before two quick-fire goals on the hour mark from Tom Brook and a Marc Cooper own goal sealed the win for the hosts.

The defeat leaves Liversedge bottom of the table but they are only six points adrift of safety, with up to seven games in hand on some of the teams around them.

Their next outing is at home to Rainworth Miners Welfare tomorrow (Saturday, 3pm).
