DEWSBURY CELTIC’S awful season shows no signs of improving following a heavy 44-6 loss away at Saddleworth Rangers.
The green and whites have now lost their last three games in the National Conference League Division Two campaign.
Their only points in the game came midway through the first half via a try from Josh Knowles and a Richard Tillotson conversion.
At the other end two tries in six minutes from Ashley Wildman and Harry Godfrey were both converted by Ben Whitehead in a game which saw Gavin Dodd take the man of the match award.
A brace of tries from Oliver Kerr plus one for Dale Lowe and a Whitehead conversion saw Rangers lead 26-6.
The hosts scored a further three converted tries in the second half to put the game to bed.
Celtic’s Tom Dransfield saw red for punching whilst Dougie Foster was sin-binned for a professional foul to make matters worse for the visitors.
Celtic hope to bounce back in their next outing tomorrow (Sat July 2, 2.30pm) against Leigh East.
