DEWSBURY RAMS head coach Neil Kelly is determined for his side to remain focused when they make their first transatlantic trip to Toronto next season.
Dewsbury play the Toronto Wolfpack on Saturday June 16 but Kelly does not want to treat, the historic game lightly.
“It is not like you are going on holiday to Toronto and going sightseeing for two weeks,” said Kelly.
“It is going to be a very busy four-to-five day schedule that we will have and for us it is about trying to keep the players focused in the down time we will have over there.”
Supporters who are interested in going to watch their team in Toronto are encouraged to register their interest on the Toronto Wolfpack website.
The Wolfpack are working with their main sponsor, Air Transat, to provide package deals for Championship fans that will include flights, hotel and a match ticket.
Fans who register their details online will receive an email update as soon as travel packages are made available.
Elsewhere, Dewsbury have arranged two pre-season friendlies to warm-up for the 2018 season, the first game being the annual Boxing Day derby with Batley.
A testimonial game for Paul Sykes against Bradford Bulls has been scheduled. The Rams captain is also set to sign a one-year extension deal with Dewsbury.
Sykes, 36, has so far made over 50 appearances for his hometown club as well as over 100 appearances for Bradford in two separate stints.
