Five-star Bordman leads way for Fisher

St John Fisher maintained their perfect start to the season in the Heavy Woollen Premier Division after Rob Bordman hit five goals in an 8-1 demolition of AFC Chickenley. 

Dominic Riordan, Noel Whittaker and Dominic Simpson bagged the others as Fisher opened up a three point gap at the top.

Chickenley replied through Shaun McDaid and remain pointless.

Mirfield Town lie second after winning 6-4 against Mount Pleasant thanks to a Josh Cooke hat-trick, two from Jonathan Mitchell and one from Chris Meeson.

Mount replied through an Abdullah Mayat brace and a strike from Adam Rawat.

Paddy Sykes fired a hat-trick as Navigation moved to third place with an 8-3 win at Birstall Cricket Club.

Paul Smith (brace), Oliver Fisher and two own goals accounted for Navigation’s other goals, with Jay Elliot (two) and Reece Scholes replying for Birstall.

The teams imported from the defunct Huddersfield League continue to lead the way in the Championship as Linthwaite hammered Battyeford 14-0.

Stephen Wilkinson led the way with a hat-trick, there were braces from Rhys Wharam, Tom White and Josh Shields with Levi Maturin, Iwan Heeley, Paul Day, Connor Beaumont and Bradley Riley also finding the net.

Slip Inn Hounds lie second after Sam Ansell (two), Curtis Israel, Daniel Stocker, Chris Cornelly, and an own goal saw them win 6-2 against St John Fisher Reserves.

Clifton Rangers climbed to fourth place after winning 5-3 at Hanging Heaton Cricket Club, who scored through Dave Hall, Joe Jagged and Thomas Ramsden.

The Yorkshireman lie in fifth place following a 6-3 victory at Town Rangers thanks to doubles from Daniel Cooke, Chris Valentine and Martin Wood.

In Division One Old Bank WMC lead by three points following a 6-1 win against Birstall St Patrick’s thanks to four goals from Robert Evans plus strikes from Tom Frizzell and Elliott Walker.

Roberttown Rovers lie in second place despite losing 3-2 against FC Liversedge.

Ashley Marsh and Reiss Brooke netted for Roberttown but Liversedge claimed the points through a brace from Luke Lachhar plus one from Jamie Fawcett.

Deighton WMC won 4-1 at Ravenswharfe thanks to goals from Dale Brooke, Kadean Fogaarthy, Liam Ghana and an own goal, with Danny Craven replying for Ravenswharfe.

Clifton Rangers Reserves won 4-0 against St Ignatius thanks to a brace from Aaron Sykes, plus goals from Will Sudden and Scott Morris.

Patrick Davies and Saul Lee both hit doubles as Saville Arms recorded their first win of the season with a 7-2 victory at Scholes Athletic.

Alex Shaw, Lewis Tolson and Jordan Walton bagged the others, with Scholes replying through Jonny Irving and Mick Edson.

Division Two has been hit by the sudden withdrawal of Battyeford Reserves, so the  fixture list has had to be rewritten.

Meanwhile Wire Works won 7-1 against Wike Horse thanks to goals from Danny Johnson, Steven Massey, Jordan Greig, Matthew Massey, Tommy Kaye, Craig Smith and Liam McManus.

Liam Downey hit the consolation for Wike Horse.

Ashley Johnson (brace), Alex Bottomley, Daniel Leahy, Joel Ashwell and Andrew Wojchiewski all scored for Westgate 23 in a thrilling 6-6 draw with Clifton Rangers A.

Irfan Ali (two) and Waqar Bashir put Snowdon in control but Dewsbury United hit back to claim a 3-3 draw thanks to goals from Ryan Laidlaw, Connor Wilson and a last-minute equaliser from goalkeeper/manager Dave Ward.
