Encouraging signs for defeated Sharks

They may have finished bottom of the pile last season but Shaw Cross Sharks almost started with an opening day victory in their Yorkshire derby.
Sadly they went down to a 2016 defeat after a solo effort from Dragons scrum half Kevin Brown won his side the game.
Shaun Squires had a big game for the hosts and managed to open the scoring with a try on eight minutes.
They held a 40 lead until the midway point of the half when Dragons winger Shaun Upson crossed for the first of his two.
Mike Dodds added a second Dragons try five minutes later and when Adrian Mulcahy put over the conversion the visitors had the lead at 104.
But leading up to halftime Squires crossed for his second with one from Nathan Hadfield plus two Ryan Glynn goals made it 1610.
Nine minutes into the second half Upson added his second try of the game but the Sharks were still two points in front until four minutes from time.
That was before Brown darted through to the line and Mulcahy was successful with the conversion to give the Dragons the points.
