Cowling signs extension deal with Bulldogs

Batley Bulldogs have confirmed that centre Danny Cowling has signed a one-year extension deal at Mount Pleasant.

The popular centre joined Batley from Doncaster in 2016 after beginning his career at Wakefield.

Cowling, who has also played for Halifax, has made a total of 31 appearances for Batley in the last two seasons, scoring nine tries.

Meanwhile, the club will be unveiling their 2018 playing kit this evening (Fri), in partnership with kit manufacturers Ravensport.

Ravensport design and production manager Brett Turner is excited about this year’s design.

“Between myself and the club we have opted this year for a modern twist on a traditional Batley kit,” said Turner.

“I am really excited to get the feedback of the fans, as I am every year.

“They know what they like up there and they are sure to let me know either way – this year I think they will be happy with the end result.”

The event will be held in the Ron Earnshaw lounge and will begin at 7.30pm.

The Bulldogs will also have an away shirt launch, but that will not take place until the new year.
