Chairman urges fans to hurry up and buy

Dewsbury Rams are urging supporters to get their 2010 season tickets sooner rather than later.

Club chairman Mark Sawyer said: Supporters have once again responded very well this year to our bargain season tickets and sales are still going strong. What is particularly pleasing is the number of new buyers, with 13 per cent of sales so far going to supporters who didnt have season tickets last season.

I have spoken to many fans recently who were planning to get their season tickets a bit later than they did last year for various reasons.

We originally planned to stop selling season tickets on New Years Eve before the VAT rate changed, but I have decided to leave them on sale after that date as money is tight for a lot of people around Christmas and we dont want anybody to miss out.

The price will increase by £5 from January 1 to take into account the VAT increase and also reward any supporters who order their season tickets sooner rather than later.

Everyone at the club is looking forward to the match on Boxing Day. Its a long time since our last match way back in September and Im sure the fans, like myself, cant wait for the action.

Both teams ended last season on a high and will be looking to carry that through to 2010, which makes for one of the most exciting Boxing Day clashes of recent times.

The club shop at the Tetleys Stadium is open from 9.30am5pm and until 12.15pm on Christmas Eve for any supporters to get their season tickets or merchandise before Christmas.

The Rams 2010 fixture lists are now available from the stadium or can be downloaded from The club also have some handy new fixture list keyrings available for £1.50.
