Dewsbury Celtic pair Pat Foulstone and Alex Walmsley are little over a week away from embarking on a memorable trip to Dubai after being selected for the BARLA Great Britain tour. The tour party will leave the UK November 27 and upon arrival, they’ll have just two days to prepare for a test match against Pakistan. Celtic boss Paul Heaton paid tribute to Foulstone (pictured left), claiming he could become a professional in years to come. He said: “Pat rejoined us midway through last season after playing at Shaw Cross and he was fantastic for the remainder of the campaign. “He’s a prolific tryscorer, he’s brave and I believe he has a massive future in the sport. If he chooses to go into the professional game, I think he will make it to a good level. If not, he’ll always have a future in amateur rugby league.” Walmsley (pictured right) was named at prop in the Rugby League Conference 2011 Dream Team last month and Heaton says his selection for BARLA reflects just how well he has performed. Heaton added: “The sky is the limit for Alex. “He’s possibly the most exciting prospect at the club and how he has come on over the years is truly remarkable. He’s doing preseason training with Batley Bulldogs and he’s tearing it up for Leeds Met University. He really is going to be a star.” In order to help raise funds for the tour, Celtic are going to stage ‘A Question of Sport’ evening on Saturday November 26, which will start at 7.30pm. The event will take place at Dewsbury Nash and tickets are available at £5. Present will be a range of explayers, including John Foulstone (father of Pat) and Thomas Oldroyd, who formerly played for Batley and Celtic.
