Batley Boys begin NCL adventure on the road

BATLEY BOYS will begin their first campaign in the National Conference League with an away fixture against Hunslet Warriors, after the fixtures for the new season were announced.

The expanded Division Three, featuring 14 teams next season, will begin a week earlier than the other leagues, with the Boys making their bow on February 23.

Dewsbury Celtic also get their campaign underway on that day, as they travel to Salford City Roosters.

The other divisions begin on March 2, with Thornhill Trojans welcoming West Hull, who lost the Premier Division final last season, to Overthorpe Park on their return to the top flight.

In Division One, newly-promoted Dewsbury Moor take on fellow new boys Stanningley at home, while Shaw Cross Sharks, who were relegated to Division Two at the end of last season, host Clock Face Miners.

The Division Two regular season will finish on August 31 with the top two tiers playing their final matches the following week, while Division Three concludes on September 31.
