A TUTOR was unanimously cleared of showing a pupil a video of a woman performing a sex act.
Abubakr Karolia, of Suffolk Avenue, Batley, was found not guilty by a jury at Leeds Crown Court last Friday.
He denied causing a 15-year-old girl to look at an image of a person engaging in sexual activity for his own gratification.
The prosecution alleged the incident happened on May 19 last year when Mr Karolia was tutoring the girl at her home in Dewsbury.
She told her mother she had been shown GT“something dodgy” when she went to get money for the lesson.
It was claimed she saw on his mobile phone a video of a man and a woman using a sex toy.
Mr Karolia, 35, was alleged to have held the phone up for her to see the clip having repeatedly encouraged her to watch it.
He was arrested at his home. Police recovered his phone but no video of a sexual nature was found on there.
Mr Karolia denied showing the girl a video of that type and told the jury the incident had been made up.
