Town stars visit children's ward

HUDDERSFIELD Towns first team squad spread some Christmas cheer this week by handing out gifts at Dewsbury District Hospitals childrens ward.

Every year staff on the childrens ward organise a range of events to help make Christmas as special as possible for poorly children and the Terriers stars were on hand to distribute presents from their own stadium superstore and from the Card Factory chairman Dean Hoyles business.

The busy squad also visited children at hospitals in Halifax and Huddersfield on Monday afternoon.

Terriers legend and club ambassador Andy Booth accompanied the squad and said that the players were happy to help in any way they could.

The club is about the community so it is vital that we get out there and help the people that support us, especially at this time of year, he said.

It must be very difficult to have your children in hospital over Christmas, because at the end of the day Christmas is for the kids, and I think its important that we try and lift their spirits if at all possible.
