A THUG from Birstall used a key to leave his then girlfriend permanently scarred in a shocking attack.
Tyrone Dawson, 27, was jailed for 58 weeks last Thursday after admitting two assault charges.
Leeds Crown Court heard Dawson, of Briarmains Road, Fieldhead, got sexual thrills from the incidents.
Marie Austin-Walsh, prosecuting, said the first attack happened in July last year after Dawson had taken drugs.
He grabbed the woman by the hair, spat in her face and then dragged a key down her leg.
Then on September 19 Dawson bit her leg in an attack in the garden of a house on Leeds Road, Birstall.
She had just told him she was leaving him and had run for help when he responded by hitting her.
Dawson has previous convictions for violence against women, including one for punching a pregnant former girlfriend in the stomach.
Anastasis Tassou, for Dawson, lobbied for a community sentence so his client could receive treatment for his behaviour.
Recorder Lindy Armitage jailed him instead and imposed a restraining order banning him from contacting the victim.
She added: “I take the view that you represent a danger to this lady and represent a risk of harm to the public.”
