Police hunt bogus worker who stole from elderly lady

POLICE have released an e-fit image of a suspect following a bogus tradesman burglary in Batley. 

The incident, on Thursday September 12 (2pm), occurred at a house on West Park Road and involved a male posing as a workman. 

He approached the house, where an elderly lady answered the door, and asked for the water in the property to be shut off.

Once inside, he stole money from the occupant. 

The suspect, who fled on foot, is described as a 5ft 8ins white male, aged between 30 and 40, he wore a fluorescent tabard and spoke with a local accent. 

Anyone who recognises the person in the e-fit image, or has any information is asked to contact the police via 101 quoting crime number 13190468144.
