House knife raiders snatch valuables

KNIFE-wielding thugs stole goods worth thousands of pounds from a house in Liversedge after getting in through an unlocked door.

The two masked men entered the home on Huddersfield Road bet-ween 6am and 6.45am on Monday, April 22, and threatened a 42-year-old male resident before stealing a man’s silver Brietling watch, a Nokia mobile phone and a mountain bike.

One suspect is of mixed race, in his 20s, about 5ft 8ins tall and stockily-built. He had a round face and spoke with a Jamaican accent. He was wearing a light grey hoodie with a lime green and yellow scarf over his face.

His accomplice was about 6ft tall, athletic, and w0re a green and yellow full face mask, a tight, long-sleeved green tracksuit top and blue jeans.

The victim was left shaken but unhurt.

It is believed the robbers made their getaway in a taxi.
