FIVE bungling robbers raided the wrong Birstall home looking for drugs by using a pizza delivery scam.
A 47yearold woman answered a knock at the door on Miller’s Croft, Howden Clough, at around 9.30pm last Wednesday.
She told a man no food had been ordered, only for a second robber to appear and force her to the ground.
Three more men then barged past, demanding the occupants, eight adults and four children in total, hand over drugs.
The robbers then realised they were in the wrong house and fled, taking some jewellery and cash with them.
During the robbery the 47year old woman and two men, aged 31 and 48, suffered minor injuries when they were assaulted.
Another woman, 29, and her four children, aged from four to 13, were unhurt.
The suspect who posed as a pizza delivery man was black, about 6ft tall, slim, in his early 20s and wore a grey, hooded top.
Three others were black, in their early 20s, of medium build and over 6ft tall. The fifth suspect was an Asian man.
Anyone with information can call DC Adrian Lever at Dewsbury CID on 101.
