A BLAZE at a derelict building on Pepperoyd Street in Eastborough was one of four fires in the district last Thursday (April 20).
Fire services were called to three different abandoned buildings and to Batley Park, where some trees had been set on fire, all in one night.
The fire on Pepperoyd Street happened at around 7.30pm, with crews tackling another blaze at McKinnons Mill on Wakefield Road at the same time - believed to be the second fire at the former mill within 24 hours.
They were also called to Heckmondwike Road, Dewsbury Moor, where another derelict building was on fire. The house was boarded up, but crews found evidence of activity inside where the fire may have been started.
No-one was injured in any of the incidents.
