Fire crews cut free crash driver

A MAN had to be cut free from a car after a collision on Mayman Lane in Batley. 

The man was driving a Toyota Yaris when it hit another car and ended up flipped on its roof shortly before 11pm on Tuesday night.

Firefighters managed to free the man, and he was taken to hospital to be treated for his injuries, although they are not thought to be life-threatening. The other driver was not injured and had managed to get free.

Emergency services are pictured trying to get the crash victim out of his vehicle.

One man, aged 24, has been arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle. He remains in police custody.
