Early bird gets the dough...

Doughnut giant Krispy Kreme will open its new store in Birstall at 7am on Tuesday morning.

The ‘Hotlight’ store, on the site of the former Exchange Bar and Grill restaurant at Junction 27, will produce fresh doughnuts around the clock and customers will be able to watch them being made.

Krispy Kreme is the world’s most famous doughnut maker and is famous for its highprofile launch campaigns.

Promotional teams have been out and about in the district for several weeks, handing out more than 90,000 doughnuts to passersby. At one point in central Leeds last week over 400 people were queuing up for a free sample, and the Krispy Kreme logo has been adorning the pavement in Dewsbury town centre after it was 'pressurewashed' onto several flagstones.
