A SERIAL offender from Batley caused mayhem on the roads while high on cocaine, a court heard.
Amy Bright, 24, of Victor Street, smashed into four cars on Huddersfield Road, Liversedge, on February 22.
She pleaded guilty at Kirklees Magistrates’ Court to dangerous driving and driving while unfit through drugs.
Zahid Majeed, for Bright, said she already faces sentencing at Crown Court for offences of robbery and unlawful imprisonment.
Of the latest offence, which happened at around 2pm, he said: “She’s put herself in some very deep waters.”
The court heard Bright was driving a Nissan Micra which hit and overtook a Volkswagen Golf on Halifax Road.
She shot through two sets of red lights and struck a van and two more cars before coming to a halt. Police who attended the scene smelled intoxicants on her breath and ordered a blood test.
Alex Bozman, prosecuting, said: “While this was below the alcohol limit, there was cocaine in her blood which resulted in her driving the vehicle while unfit.”
Magistrates committed Bright’s case to Leeds Crown Court for sentencing on Friday, October 3.
