Discover the real Priestley

FAMOUS scientist Joseph Priestley will be the subject of a talk being given at the Batley History Group at Batley Town Hall next Monday.
Priestley, who was born at Fieldhead in 1733, lived in Heckmondwike and went to Batley Grammar School had a controversial career as scientist and philosopher on both sides of the Atlantic.
The Group hopes to learn more when Leslie Woodcock, chairman of the Priestley Society gives his talk ‘Discovering the discoveries of Joseph Priestley’ at 7.30pm. Admission is £2 for members and £5 for non members.
