A DEWSBURY doctor has been elected to serve on the new health body which commissions hospital services.
Dr Indira Kasibhatla, pictured above, of the Albion Mount Medical Practice, is now on the NHS North Kirklees Clinical Commissioning Group governing body.
The mother-of-two, a keen cook, has been a GP for 14 years and is a specialist in gynaecology and dermatology.
Two other governing body members, Kath Greaves and Dr Khalid Naaem, were re-elected and will now serve three-year terms.
Chief officer Chris Dowd said: “We now have members standing down at different times, which is good for business continuity.
“We look forward to working with Indira as we continue our work to shape health care services to meet local needs.”
