THE WEEKEND’S bad weather didn’t stop people from all over Yorkshire descending on Mirfield for the third annual T3 Farm Challenge.
Torrential rain for during most of Saturday meant that entrants to the challenge would face an even tougher task, navigating the 5km course.
Last year the event, held at Crossley Farm off Crossley Lane, raised over £10,000 in aid of Kirkwood Hospice and organisers were hoping to beat that total.
As well as the run, the course also featured hay bale climbs, trenches, monkey bars, and pools of ice cold water.
Entrants did however get to enjoy the 100m water slide which marked the end of the course.
There was also a specially-designed children’s course set up to follow the main one.
Chief Executive of Kirkwood Hospice, Michael Crowther said it was “truly inspirational” to see people taking on challenges to fundraise for the charity.
