College giving GCSE students time to think

STUDENTS weighing up their post-GCSE options have more time to sign up for college courses.

Enrolment at Kirklees College’s Dewsbury campuses are on Wednesday and Thursday from 5pm-6.30pm.

Courses on offer include health and social care, childhood studies, joinery, hair and beauty and art and design.

Enrolment for subjects such as engineering, computing and performing arts is in Huddersfield on Monday and Tuesday.

Vice principal Andrea Machell said: “We’re aware some 16 year-olds haven’t quite decided what to do after their GCSEs yet.”

All are welcome to attend. People need to bring along ID and evidence of qualifications, such as GCSE results slips.
