Bucketfuls for charity and kids' ward

Issue 464

STAFF at Asda in Dewsbury have raised almost £550 in aid of a pregnancy charity and a hospital children’s ward.
Bucket collections, tombolas and a ‘guess the name of the bear’ competition were among the fundraisers.
Some £549 has been raised in total, which will be split between the Tommy’s charity and Dewsbury District Hospital’s children’s ward.
Tommy’s funds medical research into miscarriage, stillbirths and premature births and offers advice on healthy pregnancies.
About £250 will go to the hospital to buy Christmas presents for youngsters on the children’s ward over the festive period.
Staff, who run several fundraising drives throughout year, would like to thank all the customers who generously donated.
