DEWSBURY-BASED Centurion Rugby have secured a deal to supply kits and equipment to match officials at the the forthcoming Rugby League World Cup.
Centurion is owned by Primo Play Ltd, a firm based on Thornhill Road, and is already synonymous with rugby league in the UK through long-standing associations with the England team, 12 of the 14 clubs in the Super League, and many more in the Kingstone Press Championships.
The brand is now recognised as one of the world’s leading rugby equipment suppliers.
The firm’s sales and marketing director Neil Jennings said: “I am delighted that we are an official supplier of the Rugby League World Cup 2013, as it underlines our commitment to this great sport.
“Centurion Rugby has a strong relationship with British rugby league and this involvement allows us to showcase our brand throughout the world as part of our strategy to supply high quality clothing and equipment to the game.”
Rugby League World Cup 2013 commercial manager Rob Singleton said: “We’re extremely pleased to be able to welcome Centurion Rugby into our growing portfolio of tournament partners.
“Centurion have a strong track record in British rugby league, supplying a range of equipment and kit to clubs at all levels, and it’s exciting to be able to build on that at international level.
“The kit for the match officials has been designed in consultation with the RLWC2013 match officials, and we are very excited to see the results when it’s officially unveiled.”
