RAVENSTHORPE: A fastfood boss called David Cameron has blasted his namesake over plans to tax toasties.
Subway franchisee David, 28, who has 10 staff in his branch at the shopping park, wants the new charge to go the same was as the infamous ‘pastie tax’.
David wants customers to sign the firm’s ‘Toast the Tax’ epetition after it was revealed a recent tax uturn did not cover toasted sandwiches.
He added of famous namesake prime minister David Cameron: “We want a level playing field as toasties are a heathier alternative to pasties and pies.”
