Textile firm teams up with TV design guru Carolyn

BATLEY textile firm Joshua Ellis & Co has teamed up with a celebrity interior designer on a new range of home furnishings.
The company, based in Grange Valley Road, is working with TV guru Carolyn Parker on upholstery, curtains, throws and cushions. Carolyn, from Leeds, is the resident interior designer on ITV’s “This Morning” show.
She recently designed the interior for celebrity chef James Martin’s new restaurant at Clarence Dock in Leeds.
Carolyn joined forces with Joshua Ellis & Co, a business founded in 1767, under a contract brokered by Leeds law firm Ward Hadaway.
She is to produce a new range which will carry her name and will also redesign Joshua Ellis’s own classic and contemporary sets.
She said: “The company has moved with the times but stayed true to its original principles of making products of the highest quality.
“I’m delighted. I hope we can combine to create something truly memorable.”
Joshua Ellis & Co managing director Meryl Birch said: “We are hugely excited about our collaboration with Carolyn.”
