A FIRM made famous by an appearance on the Dragon’s Den TV show has been given another major boost.
Gomersal-based Duvalay, which makes comfortable sleep products for caravans and motorhomes, has signed an exclusive deal with Swift Group, the UK’s largest caravan manufacturer.
The firm is run by husband and wife team Liz and Alan Colleran.
Originally based in Dewsbury, the duo attracted an £80,000 investment from Hilary Devey after appearing on Dragons’ Den with their original Duvalay product.
The one-piece memory foam sleeping bag, comprising of a bottom pocket with a memory foam mattress and a top pocket that houses a duvet, was developed for the leisure vehicle industry after they spent many sleepless nights on caravan mattresses.
Duvalay will now fit their new ‘Duvalite’ mattress in Swift’s fixed bed models as a standard feature.
The Duvalite is an innovative mattress made with lightweight memory fibre technology.
The hypoallergenic fibre remains as comfortable as memory foam but has many other benefits.
It helps eliminate heat retention, gives excellent pressure relief and is durable and resilient.
The mattress is resistant to dust mites, 100 per cent recyclable and being ultra lightweight it also contributes to significant weight savings.
Liz Colleran said: “We are delighted to be working with such a forward-thinking company such as Swift, not only do the mattresses provide luxurious comfort, they also good for the environment.”
She added: “Swift Group are the UK’s largest caravan manufacturer so it’s a massive breakthrough.”
