Riz just the job at Morrisons

MORRISONS have appointed a general manager for their new store in Ravensthorpe, which is set to open next month.
Rizwan Lateef will head up the store at Ravensthorpe Shopping Park on Huddersfield Road, which was originally a Netto supermarket until the discount firm was bought out by Asda in January.
Most of the Netto sites have become Asda stores but 14 Yorkshire and Humber sites, including Ravensthorpe, were sold on to other companies.
Morrisons will open its doors in June and Riz brings a wealth of retail knowledge to the new Ravensthorpe store.
He started his retail career eight years ago in the produce department with Morrisons.
Since then he has held a number of roles including produce supervisor, grocery manager, acting deputy manager at Morrisons in Huddersfield and deputy general manager in Heywood, Lancashire.
Footballloving Riz, 33, said: “I am absolutely thrilled to be taking up this position and offering shoppers in Ravensthorpe an excellent supermarket and superb product range, in a great location.
“Ravensthorpe deserves a fresh new supermarket and I am looking forward to serving the local community.”
The management team will be adding the finishing touches over the coming weeks, from checking that 15,000 products are stacked on the shelves to ensuring that all new members of staff are fully trained.
