Rixonway scoops another honour

STAFF at leading Dewsbury manufacturer Rixonway Kitchens have scooped yet another award.
They have been named Environmental, Social and Governance Management Team of the Year for the north east region.
The award was made at a British Venture Capital & Private Equity Association (BVCA) regional event.
Shaw Crossbased Rixonway Kitchens, along with the other regional winners, now go through to a national final on July 30.
Staff recently took gold at a Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents awards ceremony in Birmingham.
They won the latest gong for the way staff try to meet environmental and community responsibilities.
Rixonway Kitchens donated units to Thorn Cross Prison in Warrington for a scheme aimed at teaching young offenders new skills.
All the firm’s waste is now recycled and they are members of a scheme which recycles electrical products.
The company also supports homelessness projects, gives practical help to community regeneration schemes and aids mental health groups.
Rixonway Kitchens chief executive Paul Rose said of the award: “We take our environmental and social responsibilities seriously.
“Even at this time of economic downturn we continue to invest in new initiatives to ensure we are well placed as a business.”
