ENTREPRENEURS Liz and Alan Colleran hope to have a Dragon on board when they mark the opening of their new Gomersal base today (Fri).
The Dewsbury pair, who won £80,000 of investment for their Duvalay memory foam business on the BBC show Dragons’ Den, are showcasing their latest products and new premises at Camtex House, on Quarry Road.
Hilary Devey, the Boltonbased businesswoman who took a stake in Duvalay on Dragons’ Den, is due to attend the open day.
The Collerans have moved Duvalay to bigger premises to cope with rising demand.
Their latest product, called Duvalite, is more than a third lighter than the mattresses used in caravans, motorhomes and boats.
It is completely recyclable and designed to compliment their already popular memory foam sleeping bag. The mattress improves comfort, controls temperature better and handles moisture more effectively.
Liz Colleran said: “We think this new material will revolutionise the products used in the manufacture of interiors for caravans and motorhomes. This will lead to superior, lighter and more environmentally friendly vehicles. We believe Duvalite will be a hit.”
