A DEWSBURY-BASED furniture manufacturer has helped an elderly care community develop a homely and comfortable new interior look.
Care provider Excelcare worked with local firm Shackletons to give accommodation for residents at Hunters Down in Cambridgeshire a makeover.
Shackletons' brief was to create an environment that provided a great level of comfort whilst also supporting the variations of care given, such as nursing, dementia nursing, residential and palliative care.
Five luxury suites, quiet rooms, a family meeting room and a library have all benefited from a Shackletons makeover.
"Shackletons helped translate our brief by developing a stimulating environment that ensures transition to care and ongoing care is as easy as possible," said Charlotte Spirito-Edwards of Excelcare.
"We believe maximum comfort, convenience and stimulation has been achieved for the people who live here."
In the furniture business for more than 50 years, Shackletons employ 70 people over two sites; one the manufacturing and operations site on Weaving Lane in Dewsbury and the other a retail site on Bradford Road in Batley.
