Fresh doughnuts, everyone!

DOUGHNUT giants Krispy Kreme will open its new store in Birstall on Tuesday July 5.
The ‘Hotlight’ store, on the site of the former Exchange Bar and Grill restaurant at Junction 27, will produce fresh doughnuts around the clock and customers will be able to watch them being made.
Krispy Kreme is the world’s most famous doughnut maker and their products are traditionally bought by the dozen, presented in an iconic greenspotted box.
The firm is famous for its launch campaigns and promotional teams have been out and about in the district for several weeks, handing out more than 90,000 doughnuts to passersby.
Senior general manager of the new store Matthew Condotti said: “There are only 13 places in the UK where you can get a hot Krispy Kreme doughnut, and we’re delighted that Birstall is one of them.
“Our Hotlight store is a great choice when you need to take the weight off your feet and relax, as well as being fun for your whole family – after all, where else could you experience all the excitement of the doughnut theatre?”
The store’s ‘Hot Doughnuts Now’ neon sign lights up outside when fresh doughnuts are being made, and lucky customers could even get to try fresh samples – if they’re quick enough.
