Decade of growth for online retailer

AN ONLINE firm that was founded in Mirfield is celebrating its 10th year of trading.

Now based at Grange Moor, Interior Goods Direct employs 80 people and has become one of the UK’s largest online retailers of window furnishings.

Founded in 2003 and trading exclusively online, Interior Goods Direct operates nine successful websites offering different types of window furnishings direct to the public.

The firm supplies quality wooden, vertical, roman and roller blinds along with ready-made and made-to-measure curtains, curtain poles and shutters at affordable prices.

The company also manufactures and dispatches products to customers throughout the UK and mainland Europe from its 40,000 sq ft factory on Jubilee Way.

Managing director Darren Green said: “We aim to be the ultimate one-stop-shop for any item that is used to dress a window and are particularly proud of the fact that we are one of the largest local employers, manufacturing a high proportion of our products here in Britain.”

Interior Goods Direct has plans to expand its product range, which currently boasts more than 10,000 items, and prides itself on customer service. The firm has a dedicated in-house customer service team and has a satisfaction rating of above 95 per cent.
