DEWSBURY-born rugby league star Matt Diskin is spreading his business wings with the launch of a new estate agency.
Matt, 32, launched Westfield Estates on Oxford Road in Gomersal last Friday, with Bradford Bulls teammate Jamie Foster opening the offices. The former St John Fisher High School pupil already runs office and industrial cleaning company Aquabright in Birstall.
His latest venture offers a twist for house sellers and landlords in that interested parties are vetted. Hooker Matt said: “We believe our rivals have fallen short in the area of customer service and are continuing to do so.
The Bulls skipper added of the vetting: “This results in a service that avoids needless delays and offers only the best quality customers and tenants.”
Matt, who won four Super League titles with Leeds Rhinos, is a product of Dewsbury Moor ARLFC.
He joined the Bulls in 2011 after a glittering 10-year career at Headingley that included Great Britain honours.
Matt said of Westfield: “We’ll be providing clients with a premium service which will set us apart from the typical estate agency.”
