Residents can get free advice on careers, training and benefits changes at an event in Birstall on Thursday.
The ‘Build Your Future’ session runs from 2pm to 5pm at the Fieldhead Community Centre in Lowood Lane.
Groups including Kirklees Neighbourhood Housing and the Kirklees Community Association (KCA) have teamed up for the event.
Advice on benefits and training will be available through staff from the Job CentrePlus and Kirklees and Calderdale Careers Service.
The Paddock Community Trust, who run the weekly StepbyStep job clubs at Fieldhead and in Batley, will also be there.
British Gas, Boots and IKEA will be among the companies attending to tell residents about job opportunities.
Help with starting a new business will be on hand through the West Yorkshire Homeworking Unit.
There will also be specialist help for those with learning disabilities or mental health problems via the groups REAL Employment and Worklink.
KCA chairman Peter Rock said: “This is an ideal opportunity for people to get free advice to help them build their futures.
“It doesn’t matter whether people are seeking jobs, training or just need help with their benefits.
“We hope it will be of particular benefit to the residents of Fieldhead Estate as regeneration is about so much more than building houses.”
StepbyStep is at the Fieldhead Community Centre on Fridays from 10am and Bleak House in the Wilton Estate, Batley, from 1pm on Wednesdays.
