A MASTERCHEF quarter-finalist will be taking over the kitchen at a prestigious wedding and events venue in Batley.
Chris Hale, who wowed judges on last year’s BBC cooking contest, is preparing for a new culinary adventure as head chef at the historic Blenheim House on Batley Field Hill.
The 30-year-old chef said: “It’s been a whirlwind of a year since appearing on MasterChef with so many opportunities to cook across the globe and indeed in the north of England.
“I’ve mainly been doing pop-up restaurants as I’ve been turning down a lot of offers from restaurants and venues to become a head chef. But I fell in love with Blenheim House and its unique features which are steeped in history.
“So it felt the right place to focus my talents and work with a fantastic team.”
Steve Rhodes, from Blenheim House, said: “We’re so pleased to have Chris on board. He’s a fantastic chef and an asset to us and our clients.”
