Ann's Angle

I was lucky enough to spend an evening with the great Osmond brothers at St George’s Concert Hall in Bradford, where they gave me an exclusive preview of their new album.

It’s a winner, girls, and they also let slip they are considering an ‘Audience With’ special for ITV ... catch the boys on tour right now with ‘Boogie Nights’.

Kym Lomas has confirmed that she’s signed a new deal to stay in Coronation Street for another year. The actress, who plays Michelle Connor, is believed to be getting a good fee for her role as the factory assistant manager, and Kym trills: “The show is at its best right now and I know they have big plans for Michelle in the future.”

Former Countdown host Carol Voderman slipped off her designer heels and broke her nose, which she privately told her many Twitter followers... The presenter has battled cruel comments that she has had a secret nose job, but she laughed: “It’s so not true, but I do know I will be more careful walking now.”

Sir Tom Jones has admitted some of his comments on the last season of The Voice were scripted by producers. But the singer is determined every remark will be his own in this new series, and said: “Last year we were given suggested lines, just in case we got stuck, which I tried to work in on a few occasions. But I now want it to be all me and it will be.”

Time Team has been axed by Channel 4 after 15 years, but fans are hoping that it can be saved at the 11th hour. “Presenter Tony Robinson reveals: “It’s amazing the following the show has, but I just hope we can at least come back for specials, as it has a special place in people’s hearts.”

Daybreak replaced GMTV with a promise to “offer a more credible journalistic approach and more breaking news”, but that promise seems to have been mislaid. In March Daybreak’s hosts assessed the impact of the Cypriot banking crisis with … the dad from Stavros Flatley, who was a runner-up on Britain’s Got Talent...

Ex-Cruise singer and Loose Women presenter Jane McDonald is going back to her roots and singing at a hotel in Harrogate for a special weekend break package. It looks like it could be all-change at This Morning with secret tests on-going with presenter Jake Humphrey, who also presents sport. A source revealed to me: “We are planning some radical changes to the show after the summer break, and fans will like what we have planned. It needs refreshing as the show celebrates 25 years on air this year.”
