Tess Daly says that while she loves hosting Strictly Come Dancing every year she wants to take on more work. “I like the idea of hosting something with a consumer edge at daytime, as a mother I can relate to a lot of the problems of ordinary life,” she said.

Len Goodman will present a radio documentary called Swing At The Savoy, which will feature the Strictly head judge celebrating the history of swing from the 1930s Savoy Ballroom to the modern day. “It’s fantastic that Radio Two is putting the wonderful world of dance into its schedule this festive season,” said Mr Goodman.

Shane Ritchie is trying to put the tabloid headlines about his private life behind him by hosting a special ‘Jim’ll Fix It’ show. According to the shy, retiring Shane: “If it goes well a full series could easily follow.”
