Oh what a night – when I met the four guys who star in the West End hit ‘Jersey Boys’. The show, now coming into its fourth year, is a vibrant mix of hits, scandal and feelgood. However the boys tell me they would love to perform on a soap as ‘surprise guests’, Emmerdale maybe … after all they had that other West End star Tony Christie in it, why not beef it up with four Jersey boys? I’ll keep you posted.

Joe McElderry, who won last year’s X Factor, is back with his first single ‘Ambitions’ but remember the fuss that he was about to be signed up by Disney for a deal in the US? Well, according to Joe: “It might not be with Disney so much now ... other things are taking off.”

Harry Hill says that making his hit show TV Burp makes just watching TV hard to do. “I see everything and I am always looking for gags that we can slip into the show,” naughty Harry revealed. “The soaps are the worst as they are the easy ones to make fun of.”

Dannii Minogue may want to rethink wearing her own frocks on X Factor, despite her show on ITV 2 all about fashion and style. According to my spies she can’t promote her own range on screen, as it will be seen as an advert. So now you know ...

Michael Parkinson made a big fuss of leaving his chat show, but you can’t get him off your screen. Parky is now selling a book, ‘Parky’s People’, in which he remembers what is was like to meet and interview some of the bigger stars...

If you’re a fan of the X Factor, boy you’re in for a treat. This weekend the show is over twoandahalf hours long, as ITV bosses want to make as much money as possible out of the ad breaks.

Actor, writer and director Julian Fellowes reveals: “I am so pleased that it’s done so well, and while we’re happy it’s not until it’s in the can do you dare believe that it’s coming back.”

Jessie Wallace, who plays Kat Slater in EastEnders, tells me that playing Kat as an expectant mother is giving her cravings. “It’s mad really, but I think you start to get really into the acting,” she said. “I have to keep away from the cake stand or I will be piling it on.”

Extra Factor host Konnie Huq obviously has a high opinion of herself. Attending a pop star’s fashion launch she requested a side entrance to get in … the thing is, there was no need at all!

Strictly Come Dancing’s Anton Du Beke claims that he had to spurn a chance to appear in a West End musical as the dates clashed with the show. “It would have been fun but my role in Strictly Come Dancing always comes first.” he said. I am sure theatre bosses will wait for you, Tony!

Gorgeous Gordon Ramsey claimed his new freshfaced look is not down to the botox he has, but simply ‘cutting out dairy’. Not great if you’re unveiled as the new face of milk, as he now is across the UK, with that famous milk moustache. Really, Gordon!

Sir Alan Sugar recently popped up on Piers Morgan’s latest ‘show’ to reveal all. Don’t believe it – both are good friends and both knew exactly what he was allowed to ask the grumpy Apprentice host.

Keep this a secret, but Bruce Forsyth appeared on the Andrew Marr Show last Sunday, complete with baseball cap. Hardly his image, right? Anyway it was suggested by the team that he may like to remove it prior to going on air, but Bruce does not wear his ‘hair’ on a Sunday. Whoops!

He has taken over after Dale Winton declined to take up a new contract.

Looks like having a collection of outofwork soap stars dancing did not do the trick on the new Paul O’Grady Live show on ITV. It posted its lowest audience to date and insiders now feel he may be better suited to that teatime slot after all...

Jack Duckworth has one final resting place now actor Bill Tarmey has left the show. His ashes will be scattered at the end of the North Pier in Blackpool by Tyrone, played by the actor Alan Hansell. A source tells me: “Jack and Vera loved Blackpool and this is the character’s last wish.”

Helen Flanagan who plays Rosie Webster in Coronation Street may want to take note after her thigh tattoo was exposed in the press. Bosses on the show have banned any form of tattoo, cosmetic work or diets which “could alter the look of the character you are playing”.

Expect at least ten faked scripts for the nowinfamous Coronation Street tram crash which looms this winter. Bosses are very worried that the real storyline of who dies or exits the show leaks out before the actors have been told by the show’s producers.
